What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a driven Business Analyst to be the primary liaison between internal business stakeholders and the IT department. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to guide the development and enhancement of the company’s core systems, including the EMR, patient portal, and associated components.

We’re looking for someone with an extensive background in converting data into actionable business insights. The Business Analyst will play a crucial part in ensuring that IT solutions align with organizational objectives and provide value to internal teams.

In this role, you will:
                                                        
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and priorities
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories, workflows, and specifications for the development team
  • Facilitate meetings to clarify needs, update progress, and communicate timelines, risks, and deliverables
  • Serve as a product owner within Agile teams, leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and recommend IT solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work closely with the software development team, QA team, and other IT staff to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams to address questions, concerns, and feedback regarding IT projects
  • Create and maintain a backlog of business requirement documents, user guides, and training materials
  • Ensure all solutions comply with company policies, regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA), and security requirements

What the role requires:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, IT project management, or a related role
  • Proficient in creating user stories, process flows, and other documentation
  • Experience working in Agile development environments is strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and foster collaboration across departments
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, particularly EMRs, and an understanding of healthcare workflows
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Hands on knowledge with tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with SQL is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $150,000 and is determined by a number of factors including the candidate's experience, qualifications and skills
