What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer who will produce and implement functional software solutions. In this role you will join a team of seasoned web application developers in building the next generation of ground-breaking healthcare application supporting both our clinical processes and engaging consumers in their healthcare journey. Individuals in this role will have the opportunity to make a tangible contribution.
We’re looking for an individual who will immediately become a key member of the team. You’ll play a role in the continued development of our core application as we add new features and grow our customer base. Upon joining the company, you’ll be expected to contribute to design decisions and produce simple and elegant working code.
In this role, you will:
- Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, designers, and other team members
- Develop and implement moderate to complex web applications on one or more platforms
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional web applications/tools
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organization and automation
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in procedures
- Participate actively in the Agile process as an engaged team member
- Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies
What this role requires:
- 7+ years of proven progressive experience as a Software Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Flexibility with Agile software development methodologies
- Familiarity with various design and architectural patterns
- Experience with Struts, Hibernate, JQuery, Apache, Tomcat, and MySQL is essential
- Expert knowledge of Java and other Object Oriented languages
- Basic understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses and workarounds
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as SVN, Git
- Solid experience with security best practices (i.e.: reCAPTHA, OAuth, OWASP Top 10)
- Familiarity with containerization
- Proven understanding of AWS technologies
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in an environment with changing demands
- Experience in Micro-Services architectures and API creation
- Ability to understand and think like the consumers of our product

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 and is determined by a number of factors including the candidate's experience, qualifications and skills.
